This cheerful 58-dot sunflower combines a big flower with a cute kawaii face. Start with the round centre, surround it with bright petals, then draw the stem and leaves. Five short stages make it a friendly puzzle for younger dot-to-dot fans.
1–12 — The Smiling Centre
Connect dots 1 through 12 to form the sunflower's round centre. Keep the curve smooth so the cute face has a neat place to appear.
The dark middle of a real sunflower is made from hundreds or even thousands of tiny individual flowers called florets.
13–24 — The Top Petals
Continue from dot 13 to dot 24 to add the petals across the top. Use gentle pointed curves and look carefully for each next number.
The large yellow shapes around a sunflower's edge are ray florets, which help make the flower easy for pollinators to notice.
25–36 — The Lower Petals
Follow dots 25 through 36 around the lower half of the flower. The repeating petal shapes are excellent practice for controlled pencil turns.
Sunflower petals are commonly yellow, but cultivated varieties can also bloom in orange, red, cream, and mixed colours.
37–47 — The Strong Stem
Trace dots 37 through 47 down the sturdy stem. These longer lines help practise keeping a pencil steady without rushing.
Some sunflower varieties grow several metres tall, so their thick stems must support heavy flower heads.
48–58 — The Broad Leaves
Finish with dots 48 through 58 to add the broad leaves. Check every connection, then colour the petals and give the kawaii face extra personality.
Sunflower leaves are broad and slightly rough, giving the plant a large surface for collecting sunlight.
Your kawaii sunflower is smiling! Colour it sunny yellow, add rosy cheeks, and create a bright background. For a longer flower challenge, try the poppy flower dot-to-dot puzzle.
