How to Complete the Halloween Owl Dot to Dot

Start at 1 above the right side of the owl's head, where its big round eyes and small beak are already drawn. Work across the top, down the left side, around both feet, and back up the right side to finish.

1–12Top of the head

Connect 1 to 12 across the top of the head, moving between the two pointed ear tufts. Find each next number before drawing past the rounded curves so the outline stays smooth.

Fun fact!
The owl's large round eyes and small hooked beak are already drawn in the center.

13–23Left side and wing

Follow 13 to 23 down the left side and along the wing's edge. The line makes several short turns here, so check the next number carefully before each change of direction.

Fun fact!
Curved marks along the wing suggest overlapping layers of feathers.

24–30Lower body and left foot

Join 24 to 30 around the lower body and down to the left foot. Pause at the first couple of dots before the line turns sharply toward the belly.

Fun fact!
The owl's little feet sit just below its round, feathered body.

31–38Right foot and lower wing

Connect 31 to 38 around the other foot and back up along the lower right wing. Watch closely for the sharp change in direction partway through this stretch.

Fun fact!
The two feet are drawn side by side at the very bottom of the owl.

39–50Right side and finish

Follow 39 to 50 up the right wing and side of the head to complete the outline, finishing near the top-right point where you started on the other side.

Fun fact!
Short curved strokes near the leaves suggest a light breeze moving through them.

After dot 50, color the owl and its four autumn leaves. Keep the eyes bright and round, shade the feather patterns on the wings, and try warm oranges, reds and browns for the leaves scattered around it.
