Ukrainian Alphabet dot to dot: a guide for parents and teachers
Follow А, Б, В to Reveal a Picture
Ukrainian alphabet dot to dot printables are picture puzzles in which each dot carries a Ukrainian letter instead of a number. Start at А, draw to Б, then В, and continue in alphabet order. Each correct connection adds part of the drawing, and the finished outline is ready to colour.
This English-language page gathers the Ukrainian Alphabet versions of 67 pictures. Open a card and choose its Ukrainian Alphabet Version.
The 33 Letters and Their Order
The modern Ukrainian alphabet has 33 letters, and each round of these worksheets uses all of them in order: А Б В Г Ґ Д Е Є Ж З И І Ї Й К Л М Н О П Р С Т У Ф Х Ц Ч Ш Щ Ь Ю Я. The apostrophe used in Ukrainian spelling is not a letter, so it never appears as a label.
Letters to Compare: Г and Ґ, Е and Є, І and Ї
Ukrainian has several pairs that differ by one small mark. Г and Ґ differ by the upturned stroke on top; Е and Є face opposite ways; І has one dot and Ї has two. Each letter has its own place in the order, so look at the whole label before drawing. Ь, the soft sign, has no sound of its own but still has its place, between Щ and Ю.
Some Ukrainian capitals look like Latin letters but stand for different sounds: В, Н, Р, С and Х, for example. A child who reads English may name them by the English letter they resemble, which is fine while searching, as long as the order stays Ukrainian.
After Я, a New Round Starts at А
A full round has 33 labels. Every picture here has more than 33 dots, so the order starts again at А, and the restart dot has a small star. That А begins the next part of the drawing; do not draw back to the first А. The printed sheet repeats this at the bottom: after the last letter, follow the line to the next star.
Choosing a Picture
Pictures in this collection run from 43 to 145 dots, so every sheet goes through the whole alphabet at least once.
Shorter trails include Saturn (43 dots, ending at З), Space Camera (43 dots, ending at З) and Camellia Flower (45 dots, ending at І).
For a long sitting, Circus Camel has 104 dots and ends at Ґ and Poppy Flower has 106 dots and ends at Е.
How to Start
Read the first letters on a printed strip together, pointing to each one, then find А and Б on the picture. Make the first few connections together. When the learner stops, ask which letter comes next before helping them search.
The sheets practise recognising printed letters, recalling the alphabet order and scanning the page. They do not teach letter sounds, handwriting or reading words; add those separately if they are your goal.

About This Guide and Reporting a Problem
The Ukrainian Alphabet Version keeps each picture and its connection order, replacing the numbers with the 33 letters of the Ukrainian alphabet and repeating them on longer pictures. The end letters on this page are calculated from that sequence and each puzzle's dot count.
This guide was prepared with AI-assisted drafting and editing, and has not yet been reviewed by a native-speaking teacher. Read about the project on our About page and see our editorial policy.
If a letter or download looks wrong, report the problem with the puzzle URL and the version name, Ukrainian Alphabet Version.
